This project was my final year project and I really liked it.
My principle of pet product design is to help to create a better relationship between pet and pet owners.
Cats are always curious about new things. They enjoying exploring our houses but sometimes their nature instinct like hunting or scratch could potentially cause damage to our place. Hence I proposed the modular design concept to cat furniture. So you could change the combination based on different stages of your cat and choose or replace modules in a low cost.
For the prototype, I used pine wood and MDF board for the wood texture and colour, which could easily fit into a common living room in most Chinese apartments.
